Ikogwe Friday Education and Skills Foundation (IFES) was founded in 2014 and since that time has helped hundreds of graduates realize their dream of a career in the automotive field. We are located at Suite 202/203/204, Royal Shopping Mall, 64, 1st East Circular Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
IFES Foundation is a Non–Governmental Organization incorporated by trustee with the Corporate Affairs Commission whose aim is providing an enabling environment for our youths and artisans to acquire skills in Modern Motor Vehicle Mechanic Works.
We remain intrigued by the alarming number of unemployed youth and worst still, unemployable graduates roaming our states. Our concern for this totally replicable situation is the reason for YOUTH EMPOWERMENT through VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL TRAINING. The whole idea gave rise to our “STREET UNIVERSITY”.
The automotive industry is witnessing a rapid technological advancement. We are aware of efforts by successive governments to improve technical training, which has not yielded enough result.
To achieve this, we have entered into bilateral and tripartite relationships:
- i. First, we entered into huge relationship with NATIONAL BUSINESS AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION BOARD (NABTEB) to serve as the training assessors and certification body.
- ii. Motor-mechanics and Technician Association of Nigeria (MOMTAN). This association controls the motor mechanics and other allied street labour force like Auto Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Panel Beaters etc. these people will assess our training.
- iii. IFES Training Centre for Youth Development-Offering the training needed to enhance productivity of these labour forces noting particularly the need to bring to the society modern technology in the automotive industry. These relationships gave rise to “STREET UNIVERSITY”
Currently, we also have relationship with COLLEGE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SMALL BUSINESS (CESMAKH) through INSTITUTE OF CLASSIC ENTREPRENEURSHIP (INCENT).
IFES Foundation training Centre has serviced the automotive industry’s training needs since 2014. To keep up with the ever-evolving automotive industry’s training requirements; IFES Foundation constantly develops and updates its programs. Our courses and programs are up to date and industry recognized. And our first-rate training centers include classrooms, advanced automotive mechanics workshops, and auto body repair facilities designed to give our trainees the hands-on training to succeed as an automotive professional.

METHODOLOGY
At IFES Foundation, all instructors have extensive experience in their field. Theory is always supported by concrete examples and participation of all students is highly encouraged. Extensive workshop training will provide you with hands-on experience under the guidance of your instructor.
CLASS SIZES
To ensure quality education, the number of students per program is limited. We ensure students get the best attention from the teacher, and they are encouraged and pushed to take part and express their opinions.
